Went to Texas to help get our daughter and son-in-law moved. Even with their incredibly busy schedules they were able to show me enough of Austin that I immediately fell in LOVE with it! Amazing place... First town in "Texas Hill Country" that we came to. Germans settled it and it still has that German flavor. Awesome place! I could live here in a second! Fredericksburg. They were the musical entertainment while waiting to eat the best BBQ in the world, at The Salt Lick. From Austin to Fort Worth by Amtrak. Fun train ride! So, THIS is a shanty! Fun With Grandsons!

Our darling grandsons and son came to visit! One of the first things we did was to go to the White Sands Missile Range. SOOO exciting for boys! A Real "Flying Saucer"! Actually flew here from Roswell, New Mexico. Fascinated Missile Range Base Next, on to White Sands National Monument - most picturesque place for photos! A Cold but Beautiful Day at White Sands National Monument

I've only been to White Sands when the skies were blue with a beautiful contrast to the white sand. This time it looked like we were on another planet with white on white until the clouds became dark and stormy. I thought the effect was awesome!
